Choices Pregnancy Care - Lake Wales Care Center

Welcomes You!

Vision:  That every pregnant family in Lake Wales would view abortion as unnecessary because of the love and support of the community.

Mission: Our mission is to foster a community that provides practical resources and emotional and spiritual support to those facing an unplanned pregnancy by providing education, information, diagnostic testing, material aid, and mentoring.

About Us

History: Choices Pregnancy Care is one of the newest programs of Lake Wales Care Center, providing a network of support for expecting mothers.

Program Director:                   Kristi Perkins

Medical Director:                     Edwin Salamanca, MD

Nurse Manager:                       Kim Harden, RN

Sonographer:                            Asia Smith, RDMS

Why We Help:  According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, the most common reasons women identify for having abortions is due to a lack of practical resources and emotional support.[1] We believe that Lake Wales is a caring community and that no woman should ever feel that she does not have the practical resources and/or emotional support to continue a pregnancy.

Who We Help:  We help women, men and their families facing an unplanned pregnancy. Many women experience pressure from their friends, boyfriends and family members to make a certain choice. Our desire is to empower our clients with information and to connect them with the resources necessary for a bright future.

We believe a real choice requires truthful information.

Choices Pregnancy Care provides services in a calm, peaceful and non-judgmental environment. Clients can learn, talk about, and ask questions with a trained client advocate in a private and confidential setting.
